WHOA new del.icio.us wtf
It changed on me MID-BOOKMARKING. This plus the Facebook reskin (which changed on me MID-STATUS-CHANGING okay I know) is a little too much for one week, Internet. I’m not as young as I used to be. Anyway I’m hoping new del.icio.us can help me clean up my tags because LORD they are a mess.
That’s the ‘new Delicious’ to you, young...

‘…could it be that their quest to be perfect is a way to compensate for their families’ shame? It’s a mystery to me! But whatever it is, it sure seems to be working.’
Well, I’m happy to report: the Walkmen album is actually quite good indeed.
Amie Street - The Walkmen's Music Store →
I don’t know if I’ll ever use this site again, but I was quite happy to pay just £2.56 for the new Walkmen album. Especially when the money goes to charity(?!).
Let’s just hope the record’s better than that last one.

It’s possible they used up their best ammo on shot 1, but the Hard Day’s Night and Morrissey pix are pretty ace, too.
The wrong Minogue: G-A-Y fans disappointed as it... →
I saw Kylie at the O2 last night, and she looked exhausted. I knew there was no way she could dash to Soho to do G-A-Y at 1am; going back out tonight seems like it’ll be a struggle enough.
BRAVE KYLIE. (And POOR DANNII, while we’re at it. The ‘staff writer’ responsible for that article couldn’t even spell her name correctly.)
After they've seen Bruni. (Or not.)
Remember this song?
MoDo referenced it in today’s column.
Well done, MoDo.
Screen Test: Matthew Goode →
First, there was Peter Sarsgaard, and now there’s Matthew Goode.

I’m seeing Monkey tonight!!
(This time it’ll be with English surtitles. Which will be good, as I only got about 65% of the French ones in Paris…)
I am generally against commenting on blogs because the conversations that emerge are generally so insipid and personal that it’s depressing to be associated with such nonsense.
However, sometimes, when you read something with which you disagree, it is hard to resist.
Forgive me, kfan. I was an English major, after all.
Poor Róisín!!
There is no justice for La Murphy. :(
Still, the nominations are what they are. Pick your favourite to win at wotyougot.
(Never mind that it’s bound to be Burial.)
White whines: Green ClubCard installment
I thought I’d successfully stuffed everything into my canvas shopping bag tonight while getting my messages*. But I got home, and it seems a hummus and veg sandwich fell out along the way. It was only two quid, but I was so looking forward to all those carrots.
Malkmus told me you’re the person in charge of the set list.
JW: That’s true....
– Gothamist: Janet Weiss, Drummer (Jicks, Quasi, Sleater-Kinney) (via perpetua)
I love Janet Weiss.
That’s pretty much it.

Sorry, Internet
Sometimes I just like to click the ‘Mark All As Read’ button on NetNewsWire.
UNIQLOCK →
kfan informed me of this. I don’t quite know what it does except show the time and every now and again play music accompanied by Japanese girls doing yoga-influenced ballet.
I love Uniqlo enough that that’s all I need to know, really.

That I can understand my Glaswegian friends’ accent is apparently not enough. I’ve now graduated to the stage where they (a) laugh at references to ‘groceries’ and (b) expect me to know that ‘messages’ is what one would call the food shopping.
I know everyone’s falling out of love with Barack lately (although Gail, as always, offers some words of wisdom on that score), but here’s the thing: if you see footage of the campaign events, it’s hard to imagine how he can’t win. I was in the gym at lunch today, and CNN was on the treadmill video screen (yep, CNN is everywhere, just customised a bit so that references are...
